Abstract:

Palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is one the plantation crops in Indonesia which has a fairly bright future. The age of economical plant oil palm cultivated commonly 25 years. The grouping based on the age of the plant that is commonly used is 0-3 years phase of TBM (Immature Plant), 3-8 years phase of the young plant, 9-13 years old teen plant phase, 14-20 years phase of the plant is mature, and more than 20 years is an old plant phase. This research was carried out in the Afdeling III Garden Tonduhan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV for a deployed method, Pengarungan Estate PT. Asam Jawa For rumpuk method and Sumber Asih Estate PT. Mopoli Raya for buried method. This research was carried out starting in July up to August 2016. This research uses descriptive , which is done by taking a primary data and the rate of decay of the trunk to find out the value of the C/N of Palm trunks that had been in 3 methods. Based on the results of this research it can be concluded that the rate of decomposition of plant oil palm trunks after 10 months of implementation of chipping with a hoarse method has a value of C/N 71.81, the rumpuk method 40,67 and in piles method 63,38. After 11 months of a hoarse method is 58.37, the rumpuk method 40.33, and in piles method 56.53. After 12 months of rumpuk method is 36,42 and in piles method 50,18.
